Shanghai Water Conservancy Group donates funds to set up a special fund for charity education
On September 3, the "Foundation Ceremony of Shanghai Water Conservancy Group Charity Education Special Fund" was grandly held at the Jinshan District Government Conference Center. On the same day, Zhang Guangyuan, the president of the group, donated 50 million yuan to the Shanghai Charity Foundation Jinshan Branch for the establishment of the "Shanghai Water Conservancy Group Charity Education Special Fund". The donation will be injected into the "Shanghai Water Conservancy Group Charity Education Special Fund" in batches over 10 years (5 million yuan per year). Feng Guoqin, Chairman of the CPPCC and Chairman of the Municipal Charity Foundation, accepted the donation and issued a certificate of donation. Fang Guoping, Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General of the Municipal Charity Foundation, attended and spoke.
The establishment of this special charity fund aims to help the poor students in Jinshan District, Shanghai, who have excellent academic backgrounds, overcome temporary difficulties, successfully complete their studies, and become talents that are useful to the country and the society. The motivation of outstanding teachers promotes the improvement of the education level of children of migrant workers in Shanghai, so that they can better integrate into Shanghai while serving Shanghai.
On the scene of the ceremony, 10 poor college student representatives from Jinshan District became the first batch of funders and received a scholarship of 4,000 yuan per person. This time, a total of 520 impoverished college students in Jinshan District were funded, which enabled the coverage of college assistance for urban low-income and low-income families in Jinshan District.
Full-time college students in the following four household situations in urban and rural low-income families will receive a scholarship of 4,000 yuan per person per year. 1. Both parents are dead and the family of the guardian is economically difficult; 2. One of the parents is seriously ill or completely incapacitated; 3. One of the parents is severely disabled; 4. The widowed family with financial difficulties.
